the west is falling, its falling just as hard as I am
got a job in a warehouse in L.A.
growing faster now grows(?)
I was loading boxes
that no on needs and I can't afford
once again I give up on me before I even begin
the west is falling
the water wars have just begun
and the west is falling
the strip malls and planed estates
and the west is falling
its falling just as fast as I am
I ended up in the back of a truck
with a guy that had two black eyes
he was drunk and laughing at an indian casino
maybe they'll finally get their revenge
he took a drink and he laughed again
the west is sprawling
from the northwest central valley
way I lived in Las Vegas
and I made my way through the sunbelt state
and the west is falling
the water wars have just begun
wait until the aquifers are done
and the west is falling
west is falling
west is falling

First...thank you for all of these excellent tabs for excellent songs. I feel like I've hit a gold mine. Second...In Richmond Fontaine's Water Wars, I've always sung the line after "working at a warehouse in LA" as "growing faster there than the groves" referring to the orange groves that are being removed or have been removed for growth. Don't really know...hard to understand Willy in the song, but I saw them play it live one time and it seemed like that was what he said.
Again, thanks!
Growing faster now than groves.
